Toshiba's Rick Havacko Finalist for Media Relations Professional of the Year

Ragan Communications and PR Daily have selected Toshiba America Business Solutions' Rick Havacko as a finalist for Media Relations Professional of the Year. Toshiba's internationally recognized communications leader is one of six national finalists for the prestigious award.

Ragan Communications and PR Daily's Media Relations Professional of the Year award honors the most effective, creative and impactful communicator who redefines how their brand builds trust, tells stories and makes headlines. More than 300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. Ragan Communications and PR Daily will reveal award recipients on Sept. 26 at the Yale Club in New York City.

"Rick Havacko has demonstrated masterful media strategies, compelling narratives and impressive results, helping Toshiba stand out in an always-evolving media landscape," said Brendan Gannon, senior marketing manager for awards programs, Ragan Communications. "We can't wait to celebrate Rick and all other award finalists' achievements in person this September."

Toshiba's Impact Player

Havacko helps Toshiba remain at the forefront within the B2B technology space by providing consistent, high-quality and timely news to local, national, trade media and market analysts.

His efforts result in Toshiba besting its competition in key metrics (per Cision) throughout the United States, Latin America and Brazil. This includes securing the most favorable editorial coverage in the United States, Latin America and Brazil among his organization's primary counterparts over the last 18 months.

His story placements for Toshiba, its products and people appeared in such notable outlets as U.S. News & World Report, USA Today, SHRM, CIO, Los Angeles Times and Orange County Business Journal.

Upon championing the PR campaign for the Toshiba Helping the Helpers Technology Makeover contest, Havacko secured citations from 22 elected officials, including governors, U.S. and state senators, state representatives and mayors, to support the winners' ribbon-cutting events.

"Rick's recognition as a national finalist is a direct reflection of his ability to deliver clear, consistent and strategic media results that elevate our brand in a competitive space," said Kerstin Woods, vice president of solutions and outbound marketing, Toshiba America Business Solutions. "His work not only drives visibility in top-tier outlets, but also builds lasting credibility for our organization across B2B markets. We're proud to see his efforts acknowledged on such a prestigious stage and look forward to celebrating his continued success."
