The 207th webinar in BTA's Building My Business Webinar Series is scheduled for 4 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, Sept. 5. The webinar, "Employment Law Trends," will be led by Greg Goldberg, general counsel for the Business Technology Association.

The employment law landscape is constantly shifting. From new Department of Labor rules to proposed Federal Trade Commission regulations to the latest judicial opinions, keeping up with changes in the law can be dizzying, even for attorneys. Join Goldberg for a deep dive into the wide world of human resources as we navigate the latest developments affecting your business and your bottom line. He will touch on a range of topics, including protecting your MIF, remote work, employee education, pay transparency and overtime rules, among others.

Goldberg, BTA's general counsel, is a savvy litigator with nearly two decades of experience advocating for a broad range of clients. He is partner at Barta | Goldberg. Goldberg's litigation practice concentrates on commercial controversies, including prelitigation dispute resolution, jury and bench trials, as well as mediation and arbitration. His clients range from individuals to trade associations to small businesses and large corporations. Goldberg has extensive experience defending Fortune 500 companies in the energy sector and defending professionals in malpractice claims. Prior to joining Barta | Goldberg, he managed the litigation services department at the flagship office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to that, Goldberg was a partner in the law firm of Stamos & Trucco LLP, also in Chicago. He is licensed to practice law in California, New York, Illinois and Missouri (inactive). Goldberg has been recognized for many years as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star and Leading Lawyers Emerging Lawyer. In 2019, Legal Aid Chicago awarded him Volunteer of the Year honors in its pro bono partnership with Katten. Goldberg is a 2002 graduate of Georgetown University, with a major in Spanish and minors in business and English. Goldberg graduated from the George Mason University School of Law in 2005.
