Sept. 22 BTA Webinar to Focus on Enabling a New Print Services Model for the Hybrid Workforce

The 195th webinar in BTA's Building My Business Webinar Series is scheduled for 4 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, Sept. 22. The webinar, "Enabling a New Print Services Model for the Hybrid Workforce," will be presented by Robert Palmer, research vice president of imaging, print and document solutions, IDC.

Organizations have embraced the hybrid working model, placing increased emphasis on what is required to maintain business continuity and secure access to business-critical information. Nowhere is this more evident than in the market for print and print-related services. Cloud-based print management technologies have enabled a new paradigm for print, paving the way for a broad range of offerings built around a new print-as-a-service model. This webinar will leverage important IDC research to examine the evolving market for MPS and other contractual print services, providing office technology dealers with a road map for future success.

  • Organizations now look to reimagine and execute reforms that place hybrid first and provide for workers wholistically. Are you prepared to address the needs of the shifting workforce?
  • The fleet mix is changing as companies are looking to locate devices closer to the point of need, accelerating the shift to A4 MFPs and reducing AMPVs. What are OEMs doing and how should dealers prepare?
  • IDC's research shows that SMBs are primed to shift to print as a service. Renewed interest in MPS and a strategic movement toward subscription-based print services is fueling radical changes in the market. How can dealers take advantage?
  • Secure access and management of print is now positioned as a larger, more strategic discussion.
  • Businesses are prioritizing investment in cloud readiness, zero trust, reduced infrastructure and offloading the management of non-core IT tasks. What is the role of print for the office of the future?

Palmer is research vice president with IDC's imaging, printing and document solutions team. He is responsible for written research, forecasts and analysis in multiple practice areas covering managed print services, document solutions, business workflow automation and optimization, and hardcopy transformation. Palmer's research also includes a particular emphasis on the office imaging channel, and transformational strategies and technologies impacting the future of the office imaging market.
