Kyocera's Inkjet Technology is Now in Monochrome

Kyocera Document Solutions America Inc. has spent five years leading the color production inkjet market. Starting today, it's coming for monochrome. Say hello to the TASKalfa Pro 15000b, Kyocera's new monochrome commercial inkjet printer.

The TASKalfa Pro 15000b is built on the same proven inkjet platform as the TASKalfa Pro 15000c, the device that has held the number-one position in U.S. cut-sheet production inkjet for five straight years. It delivers up to 3 million images a month, runs up to 172 images per minute (ipm) and pairs that throughput with a total cost of ownership that makes high-volume monochrome production genuinely affordable.

"The TASKalfa Pro 15000c showed what Kyocera inkjet can do in color," said Dustin Graupman, senior director, Inkjet Division, Kyocera. "Now we're bringing that same inkjet platform, that same reliability and that same quality to monochrome, and we're doing it at a price point that opens production inkjet to a whole new set of customers. We believe the TASKalfa Pro 15000b will revolutionize the industry and we're excited to bring it to market."

The TASKalfa Pro 15000c didn't become the market leader by accident. It's built on Kyocera's own ceramic inkjet printheads, which have been a staple in the industry since the early '00s. The TASKalfa Pro 15000b runs on that same foundation.

  • High speeds up to 172 ipm (B&W)
  • Ink Calculator for monitoring and estimating costs
  • Unmatched TCO for your production environment
  • Incredible reliability and low maintenance

The TASKalfa Pro 15000b is the latest step in a year that has already seen significant momentum for Kyocera's Inkjet Division. Earlier in 2026, Kyocera expanded the TASKalfa Pro 15000c's capabilities with new accessories developed alongside key industry partners. Recently, the company also announced IDC Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker – 2025 Q4 Final Historical data placed Kyocera at number one in the market for five consecutive years. Kyocera also won Company To Watch at the Inkjet Summit for the second consecutive year. And, no wonder, development continues on the TASKalfa Pro Tandem, two 15000c engines on one platform, and the TASKalfa Pro 55000c, Kyocera's next-generation cut-sheet inkjet press.

"2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for us," Graupman said. "The TASKalfa Pro 15000b is going to support a lot of businesses in our industry, helping them to do more for less. We're proud to continue helping businesses and make 'Inkjet For All.'"
