Kyocera Earns Spot on CDP's A List for Fourth Time

Kyocera Corp. has been named on CDP's 2025 A List for its commitment to the environment. Each year, CDP, the creators of the world's only independent environmental disclosure system, scores companies on their work on climate change, deforestation and water security. After analyzing nearly 20,000 company submissions, the experts at CDP named Kyocera Corp. to its A List for the fourth time.

Through environmental activities, social citizenship initiatives and strong governance, Kyocera Corp. has a proven track record when it comes to doing what is right for the planet.

"I believe our organization stands out as an environmental leader because we put the well-being of the planet at the center of everything we do," said José M. Estébanez, vice president of corporate marketing, Kyocera Document Solutions America Inc. "Being named to the CDP A List for 2025 is the result of our team's continued efforts to balance economic development and environmental preservation."

In fact, climate change is one of the Kyocera Group's main priorities. By actively implementing renewable energy and energy-saving measures at each of its locations, they are well on their way to achieving carbon neutrality by FY2051.

Only 4% of the companies scored by CDP in 2025 made the A List. This score is reserved for organizations that show environmental leadership and live out internationally recognized best practices in strategy and action. Kyocera's progress in Vietnam and at its U.S. headquarters are two recent examples of how the company strives toward climate neutrality. The solar power system the organization installed at the Vietnam plant in 2024 and the solar energy system in the United States, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 960 tons each year, help to reach this goal.

Kyocera Corp. highlights that its environmental success is not only thanks to large-scale initiative. Individuals can also make a difference via their equipment- and toner-recycling programs like ECO footPRINT Toner Recycling. At the same time, Kyocera Corp. has shown itself as a leader in crafting devices with long-lasting parts and machines that consume less energy, all of which contributes to its leadership in this area.

Looking to the future, Kyocera Corp. is committed to continue doing what is right for businesses and the planet.

In other news, Kyocera Document Solutions America Inc. has announced that the Hirakata Plant (Osaka, Japan) has obtained Platinum certification under the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Validated Assessment Program (VAP) audit. This is the company's third facility to receive the Platinum certification, the other two facilities are KYOCERA Document Technology (Dongguan) Co. Ltd. (China plant) and KYOCERA Document Technology Vietnam Co. Ltd. (Vietnam plant).

The RBA is an industry alliance aimed at supporting safe working conditions and workers' rights throughout the electronics supply chain. Through its VAP audit program, the RBA evaluates whether member companies' labor practices, ethics, environmental management, health and safety, and management systems comply with the RBA Code of Conduct, applicable laws and regulations, and other requirements at a high standard. Our Hirakata Plant achieved a perfect score of 200 points in the VAP audit and was awarded the Platinum certification, which is given to facilities that attain this highest score.

Since its founding, Kyocera has operated under the corporate motto "Keiten Aijin" ("respect the divine and love people"), pursuing the material and spiritual well-being of all employees while contributing to the progress and development of human society as part of its corporate philosophy. The company has complied with the environmental and safety laws, matters to which it has agreed and its own voluntary standards. Going forward, Kyocera will continue to leverage its accumulated technologies and know-how and engage in communication with a wide range of stakeholders, participate in and support social contribution activities, and work to resolve social issues.
