Kyocera Awarded Fifth Consecutive Great Place to Work Certification
Kyocera Document Solutions America Inc. has announced it has been certified as a Great Place to Work. This is the fifth consecutive year Kyocera has earned this certification. The recognition is the result of the company’s unwavering pursuit of a philosophy that prioritizes its people at the core of everything it does.
This year, 81% of employees said Kyocera is a great place to work, higher than the response at the average U.S. company. Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and model leadership behaviors, certifies companies, but it is employees who decide whether their company should qualify for the recognition. This year, the organization surveyed more than 20 million employees globally in more than 180 countries.
"To be recognized as a Great Place to Work for the fifth year in a row reflects our company’s purposeful devotion to making sure our people have a rewarding experience here," said Óscar Sánchez, president and CEO, Kyocera Document Solutions America Inc.
The Great Place to Work methodology involves the Trust Index Survey to gain insight into workplace culture. Employees answer 14 demographic questions and respond to 60 statements across a five-point consistency scale as well as two open-ended questions. Employee scores are then averaged to provide the Trust Index score, an organization-wide assessment of workplace culture.
Among the findings of this year's Great Place to Work survey of Kyocera employees are:
- 93% of employees say they are able to take time off from work when they think it's necessary.
- 90% of employees say when you join the company, you are made to feel welcome.
- 87% of employees say management is honest and ethical in its business practices.
- 86% of employees say they can be themselves at work.
"To be recognized as a Great Place to Work for the fifth year in a row reflects our company’s purposeful devotion to making sure our people have a rewarding experience here," Sánchez said. "It's a testament to the culture we've built over the years and the vision we have for preserving an environment where everyone can succeed, innovate and feel valued for who they are. We take great pride in this pursuit and welcome recognitions of our efforts like this certification."
This recognition reaffirms Kyocera as one of the best companies to work for in the Americas.
