Konica Minolta Raises $125,000 for Alzheimer's Research

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. has announced the final fundraising results through its participation in the Alzheimer's Association Ride to End ALZ. The ride was held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 26 and 27, with additional fundraising through the month of September to further support the fight against Alzheimer's disease.

Again this year, Konica Minolta engaged its employees and dealers to raise awareness and donations. The company matched the first $20,000 in employee donations and raised 84% of its $150,000 goal. A total of $125,268 was raised through more than 700 donations and 98 riders, with 100% of these funds going toward research to find a cure.

For the second year in a row, Laura Blackmer, president of dealer sales, was the event's top fundraiser, raising a total of $24,580. Her "REV'D UP II" team was again the top team, with 31 members bringing in $66,684. Many Konica Minolta dealers participated in the event by forming teams and making sizable donations.

Konica Minolta employees and dealer partners united in an incredible show of support for Alzheimer's research by participating in the annual Ride to End ALZ. More than $125,000 was raised for the cause, with Konica Minolta topping the final fundraising leaderboard for the second consecutive year.

"Once again, we experienced the power of our employees and dealer partners uniting in an incredible show of support for such a worthy cause, with generous donations and participation by riders on stationary bikes in spin classes, on Pelotons and on outdoor rides," Blackmer said. "The importance of every dollar going toward research cannot be overstated, as we continue to make remarkable strides. Through the Alzheimer's Association's work, we can now diagnose the disease earlier than ever before — prior to patients even beginning to exhibit symptoms — giving them an enormous lead on the disease by starting treatments and drug therapies to slow its progression and improve their quality of life. I am so proud of our Konica Minolta community for their support and cannot thank everyone enough for being a part of this event."

By participating in the Ride to End ALZ, Konica Minolta, its employees and dealer partners fueled support services and cutting-edge research to change the trajectory of Alzheimer's disease. Each dollar raised helps advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer's and provides help for those facing dementia today.
