Katun Recognized With Environment Betterment Award for Sustainability Efforts
Katun Corp. has announced that its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) division has been awarded the "Environment Betterment Award" at this year's RT Global Imaging Industry Awards.
The award recognizes Katun's significant contributions to sustainability, including its commitment to the circular economy through remanufactured products, recycling programs and initiatives like the "Print It, Plant It" reforestation program. Katun was also honored for the invention of the ecoKAP toner cartridge, which features a patent-pending cap designed for reuse, further enhancing the company's environmental impact.
"We are honored to receive this award in recognition of our continued commitment to sustainability," said Heidi Boller, general manager, Katun EMEA. "At Katun, we strive to integrate environmental sustainability into every aspect of our business. We are dedicated to offering eco-friendly solutions that empower our customers to make more sustainable choices."
Katun collaborates with PrintReleaf on the "Print It, Plant It" program, which enables dealer partners and their customers to offset paper use by planting trees for every page printed. To date, the program has facilitated the planting of more than 14,000 trees worldwide as part of global reforestation projects.
Earlier this year, Katun EMEA released its first environmental, social and governance (ESG) report, highlighting the company's ongoing sustainability efforts. You can read the report here and you learn more about Katun's sustainability initiatives here.
