BTA member Fisher's Technology has announced Joshua Van Berkum as the new vice president of IT services. He officially began his role on May 13, overseeing the Fisher's managed IT team.

Van Berkum brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in the IT sector. With more than 18 years of experience in IT leadership roles, he has demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing innovative technology solutions, driving digital transformation and enhancing cybersecurity measures.
In his new role as vice president of IT, Van Berkum will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the managed IT team to ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability.
- Developing and executing IT strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Overseeing the implementation of new technologies and systems to improve operational efficiency.
- Enhancing the company's cybersecurity framework to protect against evolving threats.
- Fostering a fun culture of continuous improvement and innovation Within the IT department.
He attended Michigan State University and Bakar College earning a degree in computer information systems. Van Berkum's career started at a high-end reseller company, then transitioned into Microsoft training. At 24 years of age, he started working for himself, which eventually led to selling his managed services provider (MSP) 18 years later.
In other news, Fisher's Technology has announced Brandon Smith has been promoted to Fisher's regional sales manager for central and eastern Montana.
Brandon has been with Fisher's for more than six years — he started as a Great Falls account manager, promoted to business development and sales trainer, and is now the regional sales manager for Fisher's Montana locations in Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls and Helena, Montana.
Since joining Fisher's Technology, Van Berkum has consistently demonstrated exceptional sales skills, strategic thinking and a commitment to building strong customer relationships. As the new regional sales nanager, Brandon will oversee sales operations in the central and eastern Montana regions, focusing on developing and executing sales strategies, mentoring the sales team, and fostering long-term relationships with key clients.

"He has been instrumental in the development of new account managers across the company.
