DocuWare has announced its year-on-year results. Demand for efficient DMS solutions has risen in recent years as companies increasingly recognize that managing documents and information is critical to the success of their businesses. This trend is clearly reflected in DocuWare's fiscal-year figures. The provider of document management and workflow automation solutions closed the 2022 financial year successfully with a 21.5% increase in revenue and more than 3,000 new customers over the previous year. Supported by its network of more than 800 partners, DocuWare continues to expand its global business.
Cloud technology has revolutionized the business world in recent years, opening up new opportunities for companies to work more efficiently and flexibly. With strong demand for cloud-based solutions and continuous innovation, DocuWare has established itself as a leading provider in this field since 2012 and cloud revenue grew by 47.4% YOY. Among the approximately 3,000 new customers, around 2,500 opted for the cloud, which reflects a global increase of 33%. At the end of the 2022 fiscal year, DocuWare had 8,500 cloud customers.
"We have closed fiscal year 2022 very successfully both in terms of revenue and new customer growth, this year and for the past many years," said Dr. Michael Berger, president, DocuWare Group. "These numbers clearly demonstrate that we help businesses find solutions to their needs, solve issues and maintain sustainable growth, even in crisis situations.
"We continue to work on innovative technology solutions to help them further and DocuWare will dedicate even more personnel and financial resources towards product development — we have invested an additional 15 million euro over the next three years in order to secure our position as a leading software company facilitating digital transformation for businesses worldwide," Berger continued.
DocuWare's global reach is extensive and fast-growing. With DocuWare Cloud systems sold in 98 countries, supported by four global data centers, and available in 24 languages.
As a result of its continued growth and planned investments in the coming years, DocuWare has appointed René Fischer as its new vice president of product. With more than 20 years of experience in the B2B software industry, Fischer is responsible for evaluating, managing and implementing the company's product development strategy.
In Q2 of this financial year, DocuWare will release version 7.8, which will feature updates and an improved user experience. More details will be provided in June. The big news is that in addition to an improved user experience, the new DocuWare App makes connecting to Microsoft Teams easier and allows for sharing, indexing and archiving documents within Microsoft Teams.
