ConnectWise Names New CTO
ConnectWise has announced the appointment of Raghu Ram Bongula as its new chief technology officer. Bongula brings two decades of leadership with a focus on digital/cloud transformation, building new platforms and modernizing legacy platforms.
Prior to joining ConnectWise, Bongula served as senior vice president of engineering at Global Payments, where he led a team responsible for building new products and platforms to redefine the future of payment technology solutions. In prior roles, Bongula has led multiple teams responsible for migrating various legacy workloads to cloud, building mobile and web solutions, and delivering APIs and real-time, event-driven solutions for the financial services industry.

Bongula has responsibility for setting the technology course for ConnectWise, leading efforts to build and modernize products and platforms that provide security, flexibility and scalability, allowing partners to successfully manage operations and deliver services to end users.

Steve Cochran, who served as CTO in an interim capacity, will remain with ConnectWise in an advisory role and continue to lend his knowledge and expert guidance to top-of-mind areas.
In other news, ConnectWise has announced it has been named the winner of Best Partner Program at the Channel Partner Insight MSP Innovation Awards Europe 2022. ConnectWise's commitment to partner growth has not gone unnoticed in the European market. The company was shortlisted in all five vendor categories at this years' awards. In addition to winning Best Partner Program, ConnectWise was highly commended as the Best PSA/RMM Vendor and Best Vendor for MSP Business Support.
This follows the recent PCR Awards' 2022 program which celebrated the companies that have made the biggest impact on the U.K. channel over the last year. At the event, ConnectWise was once again recognized for its rich cybersecurity portfolio, being highly commended in the Security Vendor of the Year category.
