Canon U.S.A. Earns BLI 2022-24 Most Reliable A3 Brand & BLI 2022 A3 Line of the Year Awards
Canon U.S.A. Inc. has announced it has earned the Buyers Lab (BLI) 2022-24 Most Reliable A3 Brand Award as well as the BLI 2022 A3 Line of the Year Award from Keypoint Intelligence.
Reliability continues to be a major focal point as businesses look to maximize employee productivity. The acknowledgment of Canon U.S.A, Inc. as the BLI 2022-24 Most Reliable A3 Brand is a testament to the company's dedication to developing strong, dependable technology for office environments. Keypoint Intelligence tested 23 Canon A3 MFPs in its United States or United Kingdom labs from 2017-21 and in that five-year term there were just six misfeeds from 4.45 million pages produced.
The BLI A3 Line of the Year is awarded for the best product line overall in the category as deemed by Keypoint Intelligence's rigorous lab evaluations. The award marks the fifth time in the last seven years that Canon's imageRUNNER ADVANCE products have been named the A3 Line of the Year, demonstrating a consistently strong offering. To determine the A3 Line of the Year Award recipient, Keypoint Intelligence considered current MFPs in the vendor's portfolio that had been submitted for lab testing. To judge the overall quality of the line, analysts looked at the overall rating a device received after testing, as well as the ratings in many key areas, including reliability and usability, with Keypoint determining that Canon came out on top.
"We are thrilled to receive Keypoint Intelligence's coveted BLI Most Reliable A3 Brand Award as well as the BLI A3 Line of the Year Award, which highlight the strength and overall quality of our products," said Shinichi Yoshida, executive vice president and general manager, Canon U.S.A. Inc. "Canon continues to innovate and develop solutions to fulfill our commitment to meeting customer and industry needs. To be deemed as the most reliable A3 brand is an important recognition of our efforts to enable continuous and dependable workflow."
Keypoint Intelligence noted the overall quality and the ratings in key areas such as reliability and usability of the line.
"Canon has assembled an excellent lineup of A3 MFPs that deliver exceptional performance and have the same well-designed touchscreen that boosts productivity even more," said Pete Emory, director of research & lab services U.S./Asia, Keypoint Intelligence. "Not only has Canon won big with multiple BLI Winter 2022 A3 Pick Awards and this BLI 2022 A3 Line of Year Award, the company completed the incredible hat trick by earning the BLI 2022-2024 Most Reliable A3 Brand Award — all during this same awards cycle. It is clear that Canon has an A3 MFP for any customer, and it is also clear that users can rely on Canon A3 MFPs to get the job done accurately and efficiently."
In other news, Canon U.S.A. Inc. has earned a pair of 2021 "ASTORS" Homeland Security Awards from American Security Today.
Canon received a Platinum Award in the Best Email Security Solution category for mxHERO + Canon multifunction printer (MFP), and Silver Award in Best Information Technology Access Control and Authentication System category for its imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX Series + uniFLOW Online + Print via Cloud.
This marks the fifth consecutive year Canon was ranked in the "ASTORS" Awards Program, with Canon earning at least two awards every year since 2017.
Platinum Award, Best Email Security Solution: mxHERO + Canon MFP
For the second consecutive year, the mxHERO + Canon MFP earned a Platinum Award in this category. As remote work remains a key component of many businesses, employing cloud services that include security features remains an important means to provide additional security levels. mxHERO, a cloud service for intelligent email management, can integrate with the scanning function of a supported Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFP to help customers collaborate, govern, manage and share information while implementing security features.
When a document is scanned to email at the compatible MFP, it is first routed to mxHERO's Secure Scan-to-Email service. Based on the user's configuration and initial setup, the service can automatically move the scanned document to a user's supported cloud storage service.
Finally, an email with a cloud storage link is sent to the original destination of the scanned document to provide customers with a virtually seamless tool to help streamline workflow and include security features during their usual scan-to-email process. Its ability to leverage powerful storage platforms can help create cost-effective solutions and also contains support for compatible imageRUNNER ADVANCE and imageCLASS MFPs. Administrators using mxHERO can use it to help keep control of email attachments that are scanned in the office or in a home office environment, addressing today's hybrid work model.
Silver Award, Best IT Access Control and Authentication System: imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX Series + uniFLOW Online + Print via Cloud
The imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX series with uniFLOW Online won a Silver Award, recognized for its ability to help customers flexibly employ advanced scanning, security features and enhanced cloud features.
The Secure Print functionality allows users to send documents to supported imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX Series printers from both desktops and compatible mobile devices. By requiring users to identify themselves at the MFP before printing or scanning, uniFLOW Online can help limit unauthorized use of devices.
