BTA IGNITE Kansas City & BTA at 100: A Celebration to Be Held Sept. 1-3 in Kansas City, Missouri
The Business Technology Association (BTA) will hold its second event of 2026, BTA IGNITE Kansas City, Sept. 1-3 at the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Open to office technology dealers from across the country, the event will feature:
- An opening reception with IBPI members at the National WWI Museum and Memorial
- A keynote address by Jim Kwik of Kwik Brain Universe, an authority in the realm of brain optimization, memory improvement and accelerated learning
- A featured speaker session by hacker, inventor and technology futurist Pablos Holman
- Two additional main-stage sessions, including a dealer panel on print management
- Four breakout sessions focused on selling to today's younger buyers, modernizing prospecting leadership, artificial intelligence (AI) in the dealer channel and the future of office printing hardware
- Plenty of time to network with fellow dealers and exhibitors
- And BTA at 100: A Celebration on Sept. 2 at Union Station Kansas City, an unforgettable evening celebrating BTA's 100th anniversary with entertainment by the legendary Jay Leno
BTA IGNITE Kansas City will kick off at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, with an opening reception at the National WWI Museum and Memorial. The evening will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks, and the opportunity to take an elevator to the top of the Liberty Memorial Tower for a great view of the Kansas City skyline.
The educational portion of the event will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, with breakfast, followed by opening comments and the keynote address, "Master Your Mind & Memory," by Kwik. After the keynote, a break will be held, giving attendees time to visit with the exhibiting sponsors and their peers. Following the break, attendees can choose take part in one of four breakout sessions:
- "The Information Imbalance: How to Sell to Today's Younger, Better-Informed Buyer," by Troy Harrison, Troy Harrison & Associates
- "Modernizing Prospecting Leadership: Drive More Net-New Meetings Without Burning Out Your Sales Managers," by Kate Kingston, Kingston Training Group
- "AI in the Dealer Channel: What's Working, What's Missing & What Must Change Before 2027," by West McDonald, GoWest.ai
- "The Future of Office Printing Hardware & the Role of the AI MFP," by Robert Palmer, IDC
Lunch will then be held from noon to 1 p.m. After lunch, Holman will present the featured speaker session, "Innovate or Die Trying."
A break with the exhibitors and the third main-stage session, "Future-Proofing Your Dealership: Technology Investments That Pay Off," by Arvind Rao of GreatAmerica Financial Services, will wrap up the second day.
That night, from 6 to 10 p.m., attendees will commemorate 100 years of the association during BTA at 100: A Celebration, to be held at Union Station Kansas City, which is a short walk from the hotel. This unforgettable evening will include a reception, dinner, a look back at the last 100 years of the association and the industry, and entertainment by the legendary Jay Leno.
The final day of BTA IGNITE Kansas City will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, with breakfast, followed by opening comments and exhibit time. After the exhibit time, attendees can take part in one of the four breakout sessions. Additional time to visit with peers and exhibiting sponsors will follow the breakouts. The final main-stage educational session, "Who Needs Print Management Now That We Have WMPP, MUP & WPP?" — a dealer panel moderated by Deborah Hawkins of Keypoint Intelligence — will wrap up the educational portion of the event. BTA IGNITE Kansas City will conclude with closing comments and exhibitor prize drawings from 11:45 a.m. to noon.

An additional attendee from the same member dealership is $200. Non-member dealer registration is $750 (includes a one-year BTA dealer membership).
