BTA Announces e-automate Inventory Essentials Online Workshop Starting July 14
The Business Technology Association (BTA) has added a new online workshop to its educational offerings: e-automate Inventory Essentials. The workshop, taught by Jack Duncan of Jack Duncan Consulting, will be held via Microsoft Teams from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day from July 14-16.
In doing follow-up sessions from his FIX 3.0 workshop, Duncan has found that one of the best tools in e-automate, the Inventory Logistics Console (ILC), may well be one of the least understood and most underutilized items in the platform. Thousands of dollars — as well as obsolete items — are tied up in excess inventory, which will ultimately be written off with the cost going straight to the bottom line. Critical to the success in using ILC is the proper setup of item records, as well as e-agent tasks to monitor and update minimum/maximum levels as usage changes. This workshop has been specifically designed to address these and other issues and, like the FIX workshop, includes a follow-up session with each dealership.
This workshop will begin by going in-depth with the Item Record and discuss vendors, warehouses, restocking levels, etc. You will then learn how to use the Inventory Item Utility Spreadsheet to prepare your database for the e-agent tasks used to set minimum/maximum levels. Finally, you will learn how to use the ILC to streamline reordering and restocking, as well as how to limit obsolete inventory.
BTA member tuition is $750 and includes five attendees per dealership. BTA members can also apply their $150 or $250 educational discount received with their membership toward the workshop. Non-member tuition is $1,250 per dealership (includes five attendees and a one-year BTA dealer membership).
